Henry apparently was buried in California. However, this stone is in the Ackley family plot in the City Hall section of Ithaca City Cemetery.
Inscription reads: "In memory of HENRY D. ACKLEY who left his home in Feby. 1849. Died in Sacremento [sic] City, California. Nov. 26th 1849. Aged 32 years."
His parents were Henry ACKLEY and Lydia TILLOTSON Ackley.
