*Robert Gerald VanDuyn, 95, a retired employee
of the U.S. Agency for International Development, died Oct. 13, [2008], in Lowville, N.Y. He served two tours in Thailand. He also helped
establish the Peace Corps and served with the United Nations
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in Indonesia.
After retirement, his great interest was organizing grocery stores
to provide provisions to food pantries for the poor in New York.
