SPRINGSTEEN, ALEXANDER S. — Age, 20 years. Enlisted,
August 2, 1862, at Schodack, to serve 3 years; mustered in
as Sergeant, Co. G, August 27,1862; surrendered, September 15,
1862, and paroled, September 16, 1862, at Harper's Ferry, VA;
promoted First Sergeant, March 1, 1863; discharged, October 29,
1863, for promotion to *Captain 2nd Regiment, U.S. Colored
Troops.
