Section 22, Lot 1123, Forest Hill Cemetery, a family burial plot owned by William Bellinger Smith. Major John J. Bellinger [a Revolutionary War Soldier] on right, his maternal nephew Colonel Nicholas Smith [a War of 1812 Soldier] on Left. Both military war veterans have no gravestone. The remains of both soldiers were re-interred here June 9, 1917, following their exhumation in late 1916 for the totally removed old burying grounds in downtown Utica, NY. The remains of both veterans were re-interred in their individual graves with the remains of their beloved wives Catherine Weaver-Bellinger and Hannah Clark-Smith.
